W...We've had a total of 17 hens over the years. We're done to 8 mostly old girls now...and 2 ducks. Although I have no plans to get more hens in the future, it's been wonderful having them. Each chicken has her own personality and they can be quite social. We had a hen that would peck at the back door (during free range), watching a snack from the kitchen...She would walk right now, want to be picked up, and waited for a nibble of something. However, all I can picture is me chasing after some chicken and it just "ain't" happening!
