Catching up with this and that

Where does the time go?  Just when I think I'm going to have the time to get back into blogging--which I really enjoy doing--another delay comes along. Here it is another two months between posts.

Summer is about over for which I am really glad. It hasn't been unbearably hot like other summers, but it has been unbearably humid, unlike past summers. I shouldn't complain since the high humidity is because of the extra moisture which has brought our area out of drought conditions. I am very appreciative of that. Now if only our swamp cooler would've held on for another month instead of dying today. Not happy when 90 degree weather is still in the forecast.

Other than that, life is always good around here. Our oldest daughter moved into her Gramies' house after she passed away last April. Ever since Chels was a young girl she would always tell her, "Gramies, please don't ever sell your little house." Well, she actually did sell her house...to us! Chels loves living there and has put her touch on the place while still having good Gramies memories as well. Oh, and did I mention it's just around the corner from our house?!  Nice.

Our youngest daughter is starting 9th grade. (See what I mean by 'where has the time gone'?) She is doing well and excited to begin homeschooling through high school. She has a good eye for digital photography which will be part of her curriculum this year and is saving up for a quality digital camera. Something a little better than her Mom's old Kodak EasyShare. Gotta start somewhere, right?

Our dog prevented us from having a garden this year. We weren't able to get the yard fenced off like we anticipated. He is a year old and is still in puppy mode. However, we love him and his funny ways. And if anyone decides to cut through our back yard in the middle of the night, it will be a miracle if they make it back out without a broken foot or ankle. But then they shouldn't be in our yard in the first place. Hmm...Looks like we have unwittingly created a great security system with the giant craters Ajack has dug!

Hopefully no more delays in posting.

It's All Good!
