Just wanted to share some pictures of our cozy little patio now that the snow is melted and I've got my flowers planted.
I bought the perfectly vintage shabby green 'lanterns' at a yard sale for a couple of bucks. They were originally electrical outdoor lights. I took out the fixin's and just set a candle inside.
This chair, believe it or not, was a curbside find. Nothing is better than free! It was a complete patio set that included the cafe table and 4 chairs. The rest of this story I'm telling fully aware of the risk of quite possibly losing some friends because of my stupidity...I only brought home 2 of the chairs...I KNOW...DUMB, DUMB DUMB! PLEASE DON'T GO...LET ME EXPLAIN...we were down in Cave Creek which is 2 hours away, and we came upon the set quite by accident, so weren't prepared to carry the set home. OUCH! I kick myself alot over letting it get away. Oh well, live and learn! Still love me?!
I just love these rusty cast iron scrolled hooks for my lanterns.
It's All SUMMERTIME Good!
Brenda, that is so way cozy. I would love to come and sit in that spot and relish in the beauty. Thanks for sharing this. I see a lot of good ideas. I have brackets like those. I have them above my sink area. Very fun.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
Beautiful. So warm and welcoming!
ReplyDeleteOoh, purty! I do love your little patio area and wish I had a place for something like that. I don't even have a porch or concrete slab big enough for a table and chairs.
ReplyDeleteI have to disagree on Summer though. If we could have Fall, Winter and Spring and just skip right over Summer it would be fine with me.
Have a great Monday, Brenda. :o)
Love and hugs,
Diane
It all looks great, but I love your photography as well!
ReplyDeleteJust delurking here....

ReplyDeleteGorgeous patio!! You've set it up so well! If I were you I'd spend the entire summer out there reading.

ReplyDeleteI'm lovin' your outdoor space...beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBrenda, I like your patio. You have it looking so nice. What a creative idea to take an old chair and make a flower pot stand out of it. I would never have thought of that.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so warm and inviting. I see hanging there, with a nice iced latte.
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL.
ReplyDeleteBrenda,
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you come fix up and decorate my back yard. For such a small space, you make the most of it and really make it appealing and homey.
Also, I did fix the links. I tried first to save the shortcuts from each and that's why they didn't work. Hope they do now.
I called our brother for his birthday yesterday and had a pleasant conversation. I told him about your decision to move out here. YEA! for me, cause I get you near me soon.
I'm lovin' the whole patio, especially those blue lamps with the candles. You have a flair for making something ordinary be extraordinary. Now - when can you come to my house and make my patio look that great? lol
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great week.
:) Brenda
Can you come do my patio?
ReplyDeleteWhat a talent for putting together!
I loved it!
Be blessed!
Lorie
Very pretty! Makes me hope all my flowers haven't burnt up in the Texas heat by the time I get home from my trip to Ohio.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great blog. I found your blog from Da Bergs.
ReplyDeleteGreat patio - you definitely have the decorating talent!
I'm so jealous that you live in Arizona. I want to live there someday - thinking of maybe Flagstaff. Not sure.
Anyway - nice blog. I'll be back if you don't mind.
Love the patio. It's beautiful:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful patio! I'll be over with some iced tea!
ReplyDeleteThose green lanterns are fabulous.
