You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16 niv





Don't you just love how light can play on objects as simple as a jar of cookie cutters or marbles?


Those marbles above were my husband's when he was a kid. Some are chipped and cracked...and some just might be of value. And the jar filled with old cookie cutters I remember playing with as a young girl. They also are dented, dinged and even a little rusty.


I want the Lord to shine through me--cracked, dinged and even as rusty as I am--just as the light shines through these simple objects and makes them beautiful.
