A-Camping We Did Go

These pics are of our annual 4th of July campout at Foose Creek near Salida, CO. Most of us get to spend at least 3 days, and depending on what day the 4th falls on each year, sometimes more. My immediate family this year included my dad and 3 brothers along with their kiddos. My dad's wife, Judy, has 2 grown daughters who come and, this year, Reva's husband's son and girlfriend were able to come. A cousin came up for a couple of days as well. Then there are others who come up just for the day. I believe we had 38 people in all. Fun, fun! (Feel free to click on any pics to enlarge.)

Can you tell who's from Phoenix?!

The End!
For you, Keetha!

  1. Brenda, those are such great pictures. What wonderful memories this occasion must have! I just have this feeling you're like a major lightning bug wherever you go. I hear the joy in you come through in your writing, and I know you're a tremendous blessing to your family. Blessings and keep us posted. I love your captions....I could see it ALL happening. Just couldn't taste the cobbler, but almost! : )

  7. I haven't been on my blog or anyone else's and have a lot of catching up to do.

Your camping trip looks fabulous. My family and I went camping many, many times. I think the best one we ever had was when my husband was the SS teacher of the young married group and we started doing the camping thing once a year. Just before we moved (IBM) the last trip had over 100 people. Great time. Your girls are lovely and very special.

  8. Great pictures! That area looks beautiful. Love the "who's from arizona" picture with the hat and scarf...lol. Our family is from michigan originally, and my little brother lives in vegas now. Every time he goes back home, he wears sweaters. We tell him he has "thin blood'. That's Michigan for big wuss.
