If you guessed barbecued brisket, beans, potato salad, coleslaw, two large onion rings and Texas toast, you were correct. What else would it be in Texas? It was delicious, ya'll! (In my defense, I did get the small plate.)
Jack and Mary moved to Amarillo, TX last April. Now, if you're from Amarillo (or Amarilla as they say), God bless you. And please don't be offended, but this place isn't the most desirable place to live, at least what I've seen of it. Actually the most desirable thing about it is the joy of being with my brother. So I will focus on that and the yummy barbecue!
Tomorrow we're headed out to Palo Duro canyon. Maybe Amarilla still has time to redeem itself!

ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie. Yes the Big Texan with the 72 oz. steak. We'll have to hit those next time as we are leaving in the morning. And that's true you can see for miles and miles! And that is beautiful. But the city itself is very polluted.
