and was reminded that he has the privelege and right to vote because of the sacrifices, through life and death, that men and women have made so we can be free.
Brenda voted
and prayed that Truth and Righteousness would prevail.
Chelsie voted
and thought about how nervous she was not only because she was voting for the first time (proud of you, girl) but was nervous about the outcome.
Grace...
did not get to vote.
I tried. She's 7. I kidded with the lady at the table that she was 18. If ACORN can do it, why can't I? (Only they weren't kidding.)
Proud to be an American family!
It's All SPORTING OUR STICKER Good!
good for your family!making you voice heard it what counts!
ReplyDeleteI voted but I didn't get a sticker! When we got home, my husband and I both realized we hadn't gotten stickers and we felt cheated! :-)
ReplyDeleteHowever, the elementary school where voting took place was having a bake sale, so we did get a homemade sweet potato pie! YUM!
How wonderful for Chelsie!!! I remember my first time to vote, in 1960!!! You had to be 21 to vote in those days. I stood in line with my 5 & 4 year old daughters and a friend with her 3 year old son and she was P.G. We stood in line for hours!!!! and didn't think a thing about it.
ReplyDeleteSusan
We didn't have to wait to vote either. Just walked right up to the table, showed them our ID and voted. Couldn't have been easier. I feel sorry for those who stood in lines for hours.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Charlotte
Good on you all ladies.
ReplyDeleteI voted early last Wed. so I wouldn't have to stand in the incredibly long lines today.
ReplyDeleteIn God I trust, no matter the outcome.

I voted. The prayers for our nation will continue. God is good.
ReplyDeleteThe king's heart is in the hand of the Lord; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases." Proverbs 21:1.
ReplyDeleteI think that scripture says it all.
I wish it turned out the way you voted tonight. But it had to have happened for a reason. We just have to keep trusting in Him...He is in control...Obama isnt.

As ever and always, it is so uplifting and inspirational to come by and catch up with you!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear things are brightening a bit for your nephew.
And yes, I see that the pound-o-meter has moved again. That's wonderful!!
Love your header, too. Gobble gobble -- What we will NOT do on Thanksgiving. Repeat that 500 times and maybe it will stick!
