We took a quick, and I mean quick, trip to CO to pick up my mother-in-law and bring her back down to Phoenix for Christmas. Actually my husband is still on the road as of this writing. He dropped Grace and I off here in Flagstaff and then continued on (another 2 1/2 hours). He'll also be coming right back up the hill. So total hours driven, around 18 for him.
We did get to stop in and see my sister, Reva, who is still in the hospital (ICU) in Colorado Springs. I am happy to report that she did look good. She was sitting up the whole time we were there and was chatting up a storm with us. (I'll let you read the update above for her medical condition as of the Friday night). We got to see Amber and her three kiddos as well. We don't know for sure yet when Reva can come home, but please help us pray that it'll be before Christmas.
I'm just so excited that we were able to see her. It's really hard living so far away, especially in times like these when you want to be there to be able to do more to help.
I'm tired. It's been a long, tiring day. But thankful we are home safely.
Happy Sunday to you all!

It's All I LOVE MY SIS Good!

  1. I totally understand the difficulty of living far away. I'm not loving it for me or you right now.

Glad you're home safe. Did you wave at me while you were here?

  3. It would be neat for 2 of my best blogging buddies to MIRL sometime. :o)

I'm glad y'all had a safe trip to and from CO and that your MIL will get to spend Christmas with y'all.

Also doing a little happy dance that Reva seems to be on the road to recovery. Now if we can just pray her onto the fast track so she can be home before Christmas!

Have a blessed Sunday and Christmas season, Brenda.

    Much Love,

    Diane

  7. So good you could see your sister and that she was feeling so good. Just driving to Flagstaff and back makes me tired. Your hubby is a hero for making that trip and then turning around and doing it again.
Hoping and praying your sister will be home by Christmas.
    Blessings,
    Charlotte

  8. Did I say your mother? I meant your sister. Maybe I said your sister. I'm confused. I'm sorry. Anyway, you know what I mean. I hope.
