The Countdown Begins

20 days until we finally get to Colorado. The countdown has started!

In the meantime:

Sunny is up there now and has found a job. Yay!

I am cleaning...and cleaning...and cleaning my house.

In my housecleaning business doing move-outs are the worst. The whole time I'm scrubbing a yukky bathtub or toilet I'm sing-songing, "This is gross, This is nasty". Really getting into the griping, ya know?

Now I've been cleaning my own move-out and...

REALITY CHECK, hello!

My house was/is dirrtttyyy! ( Still working on it.)

Ever heard of the quote, "Never judge a man until you've walked a mile in his moccasins"? or the "beam in my eye, splinter in your's" verse?

Well, here's my revised quote: "Never criticize someone else's dirt unless you've cleaned up your own dirt first."

Lesson learned.

(until the next one--hehe!)

I'll be by to visit as time permits!

It's All 20 Days To Go Good!

  1. I'm very aware of my own dirt and my husband is good at pointing it out too. haha.

But I figure dust holds. It certainly isn't going anywhere.

    Good luck with it all.

  4. I don't know of any job that I despise more than moving unless it's cleaning house before/during/after moving. :-/

Pace yourself and good luck with the preparations.

    Love and hugs,

  5. When this fact becomes glaring true in my face is when we FINALLY pull out the refrigerator to clean behind it!!!

Kind of like sin isn't it? We'll never get totally rid of it until that glorious day when we'll truly be HOME with HIM.

I've marked my calandar and checking off the days with ya!!!

  7. I think it is best to befriend your dust bunnies. Then it isn't merely dirt, but a colony of creatures THRIVING in the goodness of your home :)

*Ahem* My home happens to be the dust bunny capitol of the world.

  8. Talk about dirt, Everytime we decide to dust under our bed I wonder whose house this is and why it's so filthy with all the dust bunnys. I think, "Man, doesn't anyone ever clean around here?" Then, oops, yes, it's me, just like you. Guess we all have some grody spots huh. Thanks for the reminder and maybe you will have a :) clean place to sleep by the time you get here.... love you, sis

  11. I spent a few days this week doing a major spring cleaning in my house. You know, pulling the couch away from the wall, cleaning baseboards behind all the furniture, etc. And the amount of dust built up, plus cat fur was truly disgusting. I had no idea I was living in such a dirty house! It feels so good to have it clean now!

Good luck! You're in my prayers! ((HUGS))
