Chels has arrived!

She arrived in Denver on Sunday and she doesn't have to leave until Saturday. It has been 6 months since we saw her last. A hard 6 months I might add! She's living in Everett, WA (near Seattle) with family friends, has a good job she enjoys, and just loves it up there. I'm glad, 'tho we miss her, and knowing she's safe and enjoying herself helps us.

We celebrated our family Christmas with her at my MIL's Sunday evening. Unfortunately, she started getting the sniffles and now she's laid up in bed with a bad head cold. :( Bad timing for sure, but still glad she's here for her 'Mommy' to take care of her!

Grace has been beside herself since the day Chels said she was coming. We pulled Grace's mattress into our room and we're all having a week-long sleepover!

I'll give more details with pics later. Right now, I got a sick kiddo that needs attending to!

It's All Chelsie Good!

p.s. It has been in the low 50's today. MIRACLE!

  1. Love the "sleep over"!!!
Nothing like moms tender, loving care :o)

  2. I feel your joy! Have a great week - you even have nice temps to go with it!

  3. Glad you're enjoying Chels's visit and are able to cluck over your chick that's temporarily back in the nest. :o)

It struggled to get into the upper 30's today, but the sun was shining and it felt like a heat wave after the frigid temps of the last few weeks!

Enjoy your temporary reprieve from Winter. ;o)

    Love and hugs,

  4. Poor thing, I'm sorry she's sick! But as you said, at least she has her "mama" to take care of her. I'm sure glad that you have her back at home for a little while. Have a great week!

  5. Enjoy that girl and baby her all you can. I'll say a prayer for her too.

  6. So sorry she got sick. Probably that germy plane ride.

I hope she gets over it soon just glad she's got her momma there to take care of her.

Does she have a neti pot. If not try and get her one and have her use it. It will flush the gook from her sinuses so it won't turn into a sinus infection.
You can go on Youtube and seach neti pot and there is a video of a lady that shows you how to use it.
I'm such a believer in them.
    Also neosynephrin works wonders.
Sorry, I know you weren't looking for medical advice, but if you were standing right here I'd tell you all this stuff.
    ♥ Joy

  7. Hi to another Brenda,
So glad that you are enjoying your Chelsie. What joy for you. Hope she is better soon so that you can do some fun things together.

  8. Brenda I am SO thankful that Chelsie is home with you. I pray that her cold goes away quickly and doesn't take anything away from your time spent with her.

    Hugs to all of you!

  9. Isn't it great when you have all of your family under one roof! Enjoy your time with Chelsea and hope she feels better soon!

  10. Well, I'm definitely glad Chels was able to come see you too. I really wish she didn't have such a bad cold cause I was all prepped to give her a great big hug when she got here. Maybe I'll at least be able to give her a hug goodbye when she leaves this weekend.

  11. Hug that precious daughter of yours. So glad you all are having fun! We'll pray for her healing, and that her heart will be able to take in all that home-cooked "lovin!"

  12. Aww, so good to hear that. Enjoy it, mama. I would feel just as you do. I hear our temps are going up tomorrow also. We all need the break.

  13. So glad Chelsie is here. Can't wait to see you all tomorrow.
Poor thing, I hope the cold goes away so you can enjoy your time together.
    Love you all

  14. How wonderful that you got to have all your family together for Christmas! What a blessing!!

I wanted you to know I have an award for you on my blog. If you don't do awards, I understand, but wanted you to know that I think you deserve one.

    God bless you - Julie
