Sharing Randomness

My aunt made these adorable outfits for Grace's dolls. There's a couple of colonial styles like the dress Grace is wearing, a cute embroidered pioneer dress, a beautiful Christmas/party dress, a flannel nightgown, pants with a pretty vest, and a faux blue velvet coat with red crocheted scarf and hat. A lot of work and detail went into these outfits. They will be cherished. What a special keepsake this is for Grace. She loves them! (Thank you Aunt Bobbie Nell!)

I checked on Grace one night and had
to take this picture. So peaceful!
And then there's Reva's dog, Myrtle.
This dog is a nut!
She likes to get on her back like this
and make a crazy, growlly howl
trying to entice any of us to come 'attack' her.
This time, however, she laid there a long time (for her).
We realized she got herself so relaxed she dozed off.
Too cute...
or ugly. Take your pick. (Go ahead. We won't be offended if you say the latter.
We all say she's so ugly she's cute anyway!)

And, finally, the two doves up in the branches of the cottonwood tree. Two shy love birds on their first date.

It's All I Love My Life Good!

Oh, and by the way...I've lost 10 pounds! Only 8 to go and I'll be at my ideal weight for.ev.er!

  5. What a treasure trove those outfits are! How sweet of your aunt to make those!

Our dog used to sleep on her back like that, but I could never get a photo. She was highly attuned to the sound of the door opening, so whenever I tried to sneak outside to take a picture, she woke up. She's half collie, half German Shepherd, with the long hair of a collie and the coloring of a German Shepherd, and when she would lie on her back, her fur would wave in the breeze. So funny.

    Congrats on thw weight loss!!

I had to laugh at your "Great answers!" comment on my netiquette post -- that was just perfect!

  7. The doggy's ugly-ness or cute-ness... hmm, the prognosis is "spotty"... HA! Or maybe I just thought that was funny. That's spotty as well.

Grace is DEFINITELY cute, beautiful, adorable, and precious. Nothing spotty there :)

  8. Yea for your 10 lbs. lost forever Brenda. Good going. She is just too cute. I'm talking about Grace now, not my bully dogge. The true and nature of kids and pets can best be seen when they are asleep.

  9. Your sleeping beauty daughter picture is so peaceful and truly lovely. How sweet. Now that crazy dog on the other hand. He did make me smile. Love your pictures with this post.
Those doll clothes are great. I think it would be harder to sew those small outfits than a regular size outfit. So sweet of her to make them for Grace.

  11. What a lovely new wardrobe Grace's dolls have. I made lots of clothes for one of Kristen's dolls when she was young - all with fabric from outfits I'd made her. What fun.

The dog picture is hilarious - how can he sleep that way??

And the weight loss - I can hardly wait to weigh Saturday (we can only weigh every 6 weeks on this program, and they really want you not to weigh at all - not gonna happen!) I'm thinking it's going to be pretty good, and that this will indeed be the last time I'm at this weight. Maintaining is very very difficult!

Lovely randomness - I love randomness. It's what I do best!

  12. Oh, Brenda, you are too much. I chuckled so about the dog; I really don't know what to say about him. lol I see Grace's American Girl dolls! We had lots of dresses for Neesie's two dolls (she has Addie and Kaya, who are now adorning our bookcase). Some we bought and some I attempted to make. Mine didn't turn out as good as your aunt's, however. Nice photos, especially the sleeping one.
