I love the fall season.
The crispness in the air, especially today after a cool, refreshing rain.
Leaves beginning to turn and fall on still-green lawns.
The wonderful aroma of chilis roasting as we drive past numerous farmer's markets selling their bounty.
Making soups and homemade bread.
And then there's the black spider that just crawled across my keyboard scaring the dog out of me and making me lose my entire train of thought...
Oh well, it's late.
All is well at our house.
It's Happy Fall Good!

Brenda, I can just imagine how lovely it is there. Still a little hot here in the deep South!
ReplyDeleteYou made me laugh sista friend!
Blessings,
Debra
I love your new look here! Your header photo is great too.
ReplyDeleteHappy Fall!
Glad to see you back!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy that cool weather. Here is South Texas it's a miserable 85 degrees at 7am, with about 110% humidity! YUCK!
Have an awesome day!
Hi Brenda,
ReplyDeleteI have broke the record of longest time away from my blog :). I am making my rounds and catching up on everyone. I totally agree with you...I love fall foods...our weather hasn't gotten cool and crisp yet but I bet is coming soon. I have already been searching for some hearty soup recipes...yum! Our dining room is paneled...our paneling here when we moved in was that yucky olive green...I primed and painted and I really like the look of painted paneling...of course, I have wallpapered over it too over the years but in my latter years...I am simplifying and staying away from wallpaper as much as I can. Can't wait to see your pictures...that is always fun! Great job on the studio...can't wait to see what your up to in there.
Blessings,
Joyce Marie
I don't like fall only because I know what follows it, cold and that s word that I can't bring myself to say just yet. But, I do like soups and homemade breads.. and that goes with fall.... :)))
ReplyDeleteThat would freak me out, too!
ReplyDeleteSo far it doesn't feel too fallish here, but I am sure we'll have cooler days soon. It's not quite so beastly hot as it was in the summer, but it is not cool yet, either.
Fall is my favorite time of year! I look forward to it each year.
ReplyDeleteI love the new look! Looks crafty, like you:)
Oh, what a chuckle you just gave me! There was the ugliest one weaving a web around my poor little baby teddy bear sitting on the sunroom window sill the other day and I was having all kinds of heart attacks screaming for my husband. What is it about spiders? I am not usually that scared of them most of the time but that one was a doozy.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, LOVE this time of year. Only the heat decided to make a return the past couple of days.
I really like your new design and I especially like your quote at the top of the page.
Hope you are all well and good, Brenda.
I LOVE fall - love it. Would have liked to get up to the hills today to see the peak week-end, but it didn't happen. We're leaving for Maine in another week, and hoping for their peak while we're there.
ReplyDeleteLove the spider paragraph!
How nice it would be to experience fall again! We just sort of skip it here in coastal Alabama.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of your blog. Very nice!

ReplyDeleteAw, common sister, it couldn't have been all that bad. The spider I mean. What about the batgirl I know or the almost Myrtle snack? Ha. Spiders catch me off guard too so don't really blame you one bit.
ReplyDeleteOh, and by the way, you've been tagged, heh, heh!
