Beauty or Beast

A to Z Badge 2012 (1)

This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.  Psalm 118:24

The Beauty:

Rejoice – to be glad, take delight

Glad – one definitions is:  to be willing as in ‘I would be glad to do it’.

Interesting.  Two words, same meaning.  Let us ‘be glad’ and be glad in it!

Sometimes we all need to hear things twice, don’t we?

The Word says ‘be glad’. {#1}

The Beast (and I quote)":

“But you don’t know what my life is like.  My husband is blah blah blah…my kids are blah blah blah…my co-worker said blah blah blah…I don’t have blah blah blah…you just don’t understa-a-an-d…”

You blog about it.  You Facebook it.  You Tweet it.  You let the whole world know what a bad day you’re having…every day and some times several times a day.

I’m not talking occasional.  I’m talking chronic.  {Here’s a good test.  Look back on the last 20 or so blog posts, status updates, or tweets.  It’ll tell you if you’re chronic or not!}

We all have cares and concerns in our lives.  We’ve all had wrongs done to us.  We’ve all been victimized in one way or another at some point in our lives.  But allowing yourself to remain a victim to your circumstances (or your day) is your choice.

You can change a bad day into a good day.  It’s up to you.

So?  The Word says ’be glad’ again. {that’s #2}

Today.

Rejoice.

Beauty.

  5. Its fun to see you in the A-Z challenge. I'm trying to catch up and read a few posts after being away for a couple of weeks.

    I try to steer clear of 'beasts' : ) Good luck this month!

  6. We do have a choice in the matter. The word rejoice was stuck in mind on this past Saturday but with a different scripture regarding rejoice in the Lord always.
