Everything's Cool

You know the end of August isn't the best time for a cooler to die, and it's also not the best time to have to purchase another one.  You would think they'd be going on sale and we could get one for a song. Nope.

Lowe's #1, Home Depot, Lowe's #2, Sears and then back to Lowe's #1 which was the only store in town that had any air conditioners left. Made for a very long day. That's what we get for shopping prices. Sheesh!

All in all it wasn't so bad. Had Panda Express for lunch, then stopped at a donut shoppe that was voted Best in Pueblo. We had never been there.  Probably won't go back.  I wasn't impressed.  When you have a local coffee shop that serves homemade baked goods, pressed-patty donuts just don't cut it.

Sunny got the air conditioner in yesterday. Just in time for the near 100 degrees we're heading into this week. It was all worth it!

This house is getting whipped into shape very slowly. Most of the carpet is removed exposing the beautiful hardwood. It is cleaning up nicely except around the edges. Eventually we'll refinish the floor, but we're not at that place yet. We painted Grace's bedroom a pretty gray. I'll post pics when we're finished and she has it done up the way she wants.

We're also redoing our enclosed front porch, making it into the office. We took the office-tile ceiling down, bought the paint, and picked out ceramic tile. Now we need to put it all together. Here's a sneak-peek. We're going for the industrial chic using pipe. We're a plumbing business, may as well go with the flow.  (Bwhahaaaa...I crack myself up.) The room isn't going to look just like this. The shelves are what we will be doing floor to ceiling with corrugated tin behind them.

I already have one bank of windows covered with burlap. I'm wanting to change out the rod to look like this.

I can't wait to post before and after pics! I can't wait to get our office out of our living room!

It's All Good!
