1.... Named after the singer Brenda Lee.
2... My middle name is Marie after my paternal grandmother.
3...I'm still enjoying my married name after 27 years (on March 22nd)!
4...Maiden name was Wise--my husband always says I was Wise until I married him!
5...One definition of Brenda is Dark Haired Raven. I really don't fancy being named after a bird but I have always had very dark hair...now if only I could fly!
6...If I'd have been the first born I'm pretty sure I would have been named Jackie after my dad Jack.
7...For many years to some family & friends my nickname has been Bean--trust me, you don't want to know the whole story behind the name. Let's just say it involved pinto beans, Mexican food and church (I swear it wasn't me!!!) Seriously.
8...My husband calls me Sweetheart...
9...and it really sounds funny to me when he calls me Brenda!
10...My titles include Sweetheart, Mom, Mommy, Aunt Brenda, Aunt Bean, Beaner (slang for Bean--see #7 (it really wasn't me!), Bren, Brendy, Hey You! and hopefully Friend.
11...It sounds really strange when I hear myself say my name.
12...I can't think of another Brenda that I personally know off the top of my head.
13...I would like to get to know some more Brendas out in blog land...anymore Brendas out there?
It's an honor to be the first to comment on your very first Thursday Thirteen. Great list! Great idea! Love the name Brenda, by the way.
ReplyDeleteC'mon over the visit my T13. I made two this week - couldn't decide. LOL!

ReplyDeleteIt was fun to get to know a little more about you. :)
ReplyDeleteReally no other Brendas? That was a very common name when I was growing up....now me meeting many Penelope's is very rare.
ReplyDeleteGreat TT loved learning about you.
Not a Brenda..very creative list! I love that you still love being married. We will be celebrating our 13th anniversary on the 25th of March and I really like him still!! Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteI loved #4! Oh, and I too think it is kind of strange to hear my husband say my name. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm a Brenda, although I have red hair that doesn't fit my name's definition. Happy Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to post on your name, I don't think I could come up with much about mine...Thanks for your kind words on my blog (it was my first TT too). Have a happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDelete~~Kelley
thanks for letting us get to know you....nice list
ReplyDeleteLike #4, but want to know the whole story on #7. I am sure I would get a toot out of it. Great list.
ReplyDeleteBrenda, my friend Charlotte introduced me to your site. I enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteRe: #6 Everyone knows me as Connie but, I was named after both my mom and my day, therefore my name is really Mildred Carlene. Now you know why everyone knows me as Connie.
Re:# 7 One of my grandson's name was bean before he was born. That is how my daughter discribed his size in those early months.
Nice list! Welcome to TT.
