Show & Tell Friday--Vintage PO Box Door

This is an vintage post office box door that belonged to my husband's parents for many, many years. I believe they opened their box when they got married in the late 40's. Sadly, a couple of years ago the town moved the location of the post office to a newer more modern facility. But thankfully we were able to retrieve this--at a price, of course--but we are now the proud owners of this little bit of history! I love it! (Sorry the pic is a little distorted, still on the learning curve!)

  1. How special! I had an opportunity to buy a few at 4 or 5 bucks a piece. Why why why did I walk away from those doors? Have a great weekend...Jen

  11. Wow. That would be a great thing to have. I remember going to the P.O. and getting mail out of one of those boxes when I was a kid.
