When All Else Fails & the Snow Won't Quit--MAKE SNOW CREAM!

OK, this may look a little unappetizing...it did look better in real life! My daughter loves snow ice cream. So, needless to say, when it's starts snowing AGAIN she knows she has a fun dessert to look forward to!
Anyone know what yellow snow is? When we were growing up in Colorado (and had pets!) we learned at a very young age to NEVER EAT YELLOW SNOW! So what is Grace's favorite color for snow ice cream? You got it! Yellow! Fortunately it isn't yellow coming into the house.
Here's the recipe:

Fresh cup of snow
Stir in some milk
Add a little vanilla or whatever flavoring you prefer
Sugar to taste or colored sugar sprinkles

It's All Good!

  1. This brings back memories. I remember eating snow ice cream when I was very young. Yes, we're fortunate to have several Trader Joe's fairly close to our house. Three In-N-Out burgers are all so close we have to decide which one we want to go to when we get a "hankerin" for one of their burgers. Is this a great place to live or what. I have often commented that I don't think there is any place in the U.S. that is better for shopping than where we live. And I love to shop. Only trouble is my knee still hurts badly and I don't get out much anymore. I'm afraid knee replacement is looming out there in the future.

  2. We love snow cream here but we haven't had enough snow to even get excited about so far this season. It ain't lookin' good for the rest of the Winter either.

Yep, I know EXACTLY what yellow snow is, and I had to chuckle over your girl's favorite color of snow cream. ;o)

  3. Thank you so much for stopping by my page and praying for Erin! I recieved a comment about the little girl and the lady said that her parents were in her sisters sunday school class. She gave me a web site that you can go to and it updated every day. Erin does seem to be doing better, but she still has a long way to go, so we still need to keep her in our prayers! Here is the website and I will also post it on my blog! http://www.caringbridge.org/cb/viewHome.do Bless you!
    Love,

I have a link on my site that will give updates on Erin, the 14 yr old girl. She still stands in need of prayer. Jennifer
