  1. Yup, spring is a thing of beauty isn't it? Even kids funny imaginations are beautiful in their own way. I sure would have been careful to step over that one.
And in response to your comment on mine, OF COURSE there can be an Auntie homeschooling day too. It might be fun to have them both at the same time. Hope we can work that out soon.
Tell Sunny that realestate is going to be booming here soon with the military moving in the droves. Scratch that barrell and come over and you can have the down stairs if you want. Just get over here soon. Love you and of course I understand the holdups so it's all ok and all good whenever you get here.
    love,
    your lil big sis

  4. Hi, Brenda, it's me (the other one) again. Here's the recipe for the nests:
Beat one egg, add three cups chinese chow mein noodles & 1/4 tsp. garlic salt/powder. Stir to coat the noodles. Using 1/4 to
1/3 cup of mixture (the recipe said 1/3 cup, I used 1/4 cup and they were plenty big - I got about 10 per batch), form into "nests" on a greased baking sheet. Bake 11-13 minutes in 350 degree oven. Cool on wire rack. Once they are completely cooled you put the egg salad (or filling of your choice) in dollups. I garnished with a little sprig of parsley.
Now, here's the kicker - they look super cute and are a huge hit in the cute category, but I don't think they taste all that great. They're not bad tasting, just not really worth the effort. And, they are hard to eat - very messy - as soon as you take one bite, they fall apart in your hand, so definately have lots of napkins on hand. Give them a try - they are good for one try (I'm all about the cute factor). Enjoy!

  8. Yippy skippy for spring! Honestly, it is my least favorite season in Montana--too many winter-like days still. But, that is ok, at least the snow doesn't stick around for long these days.

  10. Happy Spring to you, Brenda. Our buttercups from my Mom and Dad's home are blooming. Always one of the first signs of Spring around here.

  11. Yeah, really is a stinker, but the cake was actually delicious and Amber and Steve agreed. Don't think there was enough in it to cause the big stink but the prunes were fun and really did ad flavor anyway.
Hope your spring is springing as well as ours is.
Now, though that it is Spring Break this week, the weather is cooling down and maybe even a hint of moisture. Hope so.
    love,
    your lil big sis
