I love autumn.
Cool mornings, warm days, colder nights.
Reprieve from the dusty, hot rainless summer.
Cup of hot cocoa or tea and popcorn the first evening the furnace comes on.
Many hues of orange, red, yellow, green.
Seas of dried corn-husked fields.
Smattering of ripe fruit or vegetables left on the farmer’s ground for seed or to be plowed under.
Refreshing rains with a hint of chilliness to warn of the up and coming winter.
With an occasional rainbow.
Wonderful aroma and taste of freshly roasted peppers.
Big pot of chili.
Pop of fire works when the high school football team scores a touchdown.
Warm blankets, layered clothing.
Leaves falling on still-green lawns.
Death beginning and ending in a blaze of glory.
Simply for our pleasure.
I am blessed.
It’s All Good!
Brenda

Yep, I'm like Mari. dread what follows fall so much I can't always enjoy the beauty of the season. This is a good reminder of how nice it really can be.
